Comfort
The small comforts of a server: walking faster, flying, and the gamemodes.
Speed
| Command | Permission | What it does |
|---|---|---|
/speed [level] | appeltools.command.speed | Your walking speed, or your flying speed when you are flying. |
/walkspeed [level] | appeltools.command.speed | Your walking speed. |
/flyingspeed [level] | appeltools.command.speed | Your flying speed. |
/walkspeed also answers to /walkingspeed, /flyingspeed to /flySpeed.
The level is a number from 1 to 10. A number outside that range is refused. Without a number the command tells you your current level.
The speed is a setting of the player, so it is remembered when you log out and back in.
Flight
/flyThe permission is appeltools.command.speed.fly. The command answers to /togglefly.
/fly switches flying on and off. When you switch it on, you are put in the air and you may fly; when you switch it off, you drop back down.
The gamemodes
| Command | Permission | What it does |
|---|---|---|
/gamemode adventure | appeltools.command.gamemode and appeltools.command.gamemode.adventure | Adventure mode. |
/gamemode creative | appeltools.command.gamemode and appeltools.command.gamemode.creative | Creative mode. |
/gamemode spectator | appeltools.command.gamemode and appeltools.command.gamemode.spectator | Spectator mode. |
/gamemode survival | appeltools.command.gamemode and appeltools.command.gamemode.survival | Survival mode. |
/gamemode <mode> <player> | the same, plus appeltools.command.gamemode.setother | The gamemode of another player. |
/gamemode answers to /gm.
The shortcuts
Every gamemode also has a command of its own:
| Command | Shortcut |
|---|---|
/adventure | /gma |
/creative | /gmc |
/spectator | /gmsp |
/survival | /gms |
They ask for the same permissions as the subcommands of /gamemode.
Two nodes per gamemode
A gamemode asks for both the node of the whole category and the node of the gamemode itself:
/gamemode creative
needs appeltools.command.gamemode
and appeltools.command.gamemode.creativeSo a player needs the category node before the per-gamemode node does anything:
/lp group creative parent add appeltools.command.gamemode true
/lp group creative parent add appeltools.command.gamemode.creative trueHand out the category node once for everybody who may use a gamemode, and the per-gamemode node for the ones who may use that particular gamemode.
Changing somebody else's gamemode
Changing your own gamemode needs the nodes of that gamemode. Changing another player's gamemode needs appeltools.command.gamemode.setother on top — otherwise anybody who may set their own gamemode could set everybody's.
TIP
The setother node is checked only when a target is named. That is why it is not part of the permission of the command itself: the check has to happen when the command runs, because a static node would also block a player from changing their own gamemode.
