Teleport

The teleport commands of the backend: going somewhere, asking somebody to come to you, and going back.

Teleporting

CommandPermissionWhat it does
/tp <player>appeltools.command.teleportGo to a player.
/tp <player> <target>appeltools.command.teleportBring a player to you.
/tphere <player>appeltools.command.teleport.hereBring a player to you.
/tppos <x> <y> <z> [yaw] [pitch] [world]appeltools.command.teleport.posGo to a position.
/backappeltools.command.teleport.backGo back to where you were before your last teleport.

/tp answers to /teleport, /tphere to /teleporthere and /tppos to /teleportpos.

The coordinates of /tppos

The three coordinates take the same syntax:

WrittenMeans
100.5The absolute coordinate.
0The origin of the world on that axis.
~Your own coordinate on that axis.
~12.5Your own coordinate on that axis, plus 12.5. A negative offset works too.

The yaw and the pitch are in degrees and are optional: without them you keep looking the way you were looking. The world is optional as well: without it you stay in the world you are in.

The height is held inside the world: a value below the floor of the world becomes the floor, a value above the roof becomes the roof.

/back

/back takes you back to the place you were before your last teleport. When there is no such place — you have not teleported yet — it says so instead of moving you.

The teleport requests

Instead of teleporting to somebody without asking, you can ask.

CommandPermissionWhat it does
/tpask <player> (/tpa)appeltools.command.teleport.askAsk a player to come to you.
/tpahere <player>appeltools.command.teleport.ahereAsk a player to let you come to them.
/tpaccept <player>appeltools.command.teleport.acceptAccept a request.
/tpdeny <player>appeltools.command.teleport.denyRefuse a request.
/tpacancel [player]appeltools.command.teleport.acancelWithdraw a request.

What the receiver sees

The receiver gets a message with the name of the sender and a button: clicking it accepts the request. The command behind that button is /tpaccept <sender>, so /tpaccept and /tpdeny can also be typed by hand.

The cooldown

Sending a request has a cooldown, so that nobody can spam a player with them:

yaml
teleport:
  cooldown-seconds: 3

The cooldown applies to /tpask and /tpahere. A player with appeltools.command.teleport.bypasscooldown skips it. A cooldown of 0 switches it off.

The cooldown starts as soon as the request is sent — also when the receiver accepts it automatically, and also when the request is refused because the receiver does not want requests.

The timeout

A request that nobody answers expires:

yaml
teleport:
  request-timeout-seconds: 60

A timeout of 0 means a request stays open for ever.

Withdrawing a request

/tpacancel without a name withdraws all your own requests. With a name it withdraws the request of that player. The other side is told about it.

Switching the requests off

CommandPermissionWhat it does
/tptoggleappeltools.command.teleport.toggleRefuse or accept the requests of other players.
/tptoggle <player> [on/off]appeltools.command.teleport.toggleThe same, for another player.
/tpautoappeltools.command.teleport.autoAccept every request automatically.

/tptoggle without a name flips your own switch: when it is on, nobody can send you a request and you are told so.

/tpauto is the opposite: you are teleported the moment somebody asks, and the other side is told that you came by yourself.

TIP

The two switches are remembered when you log out and back in.
